Five Reasons Why You Are Losing

Everyone who plays poker, thinks they are the best. This is seen every day at every poker table. Players go in and talk the talk but sometimes can't walk the walk. Are you a great player? Maybe. If you are as great as you think you are but you still lose...constantly.... Then this post is for you....

1.)Playing on tilt
This is probably the most common reason why people bust and/or lose. If you are a hot headed person who gets pissed off when the wind blows a different direction, then poker is going to give you aneurism. If a player chases to the river, or plays a hand you feel like they had no purpose calling your 3-bet, if you lose, let it go buttercup. Bad beats, donkeys and fish are always going to be at a table and are always going to get under your skin. All you can do is find a way to move past their ignorant play and find a way to beat them.

2.) You're too predictable
You go to the same poker room and sit around the same people all the time. They know when you are under the gun and have a monster, you raise the blind by 3x. They know when you bluff, you tend to talk a lot more than you usually do. You style, your betting paterns, your conversations are all monitored and stored into their memories. Every time you go to the same room and sit at the same table and play with the same people, YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR GAME!!! You don't have to do a complete change. Look at your play and find where people keep cracking you. Once you find that, you can start making changes.

3.) You are playing tough games
The level of skills at a table, as well as the type of game you play is very important to you and your bankroll. If you go to a table a feel like everyone at that table is better than you, you need to find a new game with less skilled people. Not saying never play with those skilled people but build your skills to where you feel more confident to sit at the same table

4.) You lack fundamentals
This is found in a lot of new players and some seasoned players. This is an easy fix with studying videos, reading books, and just paying attention to other players when they play. With out having solid rules or fundamentals with you, your game is always going to end up with you losing. Build a foundation with the basics. Once you've done this, you can customize your game.

5.)Bad luck
Yes this actually happens. You could have mastered all things said before but luck does play a part in losing. You could go allin with pocket queens against someone with 10-4 off suit and somehow they get the win. It happens and its something you can control, but you have to understand that it happens. Failure to understand that luck plays in the game of poker will cost you!
